The Gates-Chili Leos plan a Christmas party in the
first week of December each year, for the students at the Batavia
School for the Blind. The party includes music, pizza and gifts to
the school. This is a chance for the students in Batavia to have a party
with other kids and a chance for the Leos to learn about living with disabilities.
In 2004 the Leos purchased books on tape, CD's and children's videos and
gave them to the students during the party. 25 Gates-Chili Leos were in
attendance along with 18 members of Churchville's Leo Club. They had a
good time celebrating Christmas with the kids at the Batavia School for
the Blind.
